Download Product Demos and Free Software

Registration is required to download HI-TECH Softwares product demos and free software. If you are not already a registered member, you will be redirected to a page allowing you to register free of charge. If you are already a registered member, simply log in.

Please Note: Demos for HI-TECH C^® Compilers supporting Microchip Technology Inc. can be activated into the full versions of the software. For full versions of other compilers, you will need to download from the Updates webpage. You will also require an active internet connection to install the software.

Demos

The demo programs below are intended for prospective customers of HI-TECH Software to evaluate our products before making a purchase decision. The demos are provided entirely without any warranty and are not licensed for any use other than evaluation purposes.

The demos of HI-TECH Compilers for the PIC10/12/16 MCUs, PIC18 MCUs and PIC32 MCUs be fully functional in PRO mode with all Omniscient Code Generation optimizations enabled for 45 days. After this time, compilers will revert to Lite mode with lower optimizations.

The demo of HI-TECH C Compiler for PIC24 MCUs and dsPIC DSCs and PICC-18 STD will simply expire after the evaluation period.

These demos can be activated into the full compiler simply by entering a valid serial number.

Lite Mode

HI-TECH Software has provided this freeware HI-TECH C PRO (Lite mode) compilers as low-cost tools for hobbyists and students, however the license allows their use for commercial purposes as well. They is ideal as a teaching tool for an introduction into the 'C' language and embedded programming on a their respective devices.

You may copy and redistribute this software, providing it remains in the same archive file. You may use this software for any purpose. No warranty of any kind is provided, and all use is entirely at your own risk. Full details of the licence under which it is supplied are provided within the download.

HI-TECH C Compilers currently support the following devices with Lite mode:

Linux / Mac OS X Installation

To install the Mac OS X version; save the demo to your system, then run the self installing archive file. For further information, please refer to our support forum.
