  • Patch Level Update: HI-TECH C PRO for the PIC10/12/16 MCU Family

    The release of this patch level (v9.60PL3) includes:

    • Corrections to problems reported since the last release;
    • Support for 16LF722, 16LF723, 16LF724, 16LF726 and 16LF727 devices;
    • Version 1.23 of the HI-TECH Universal Toolsuite which adds the following features when compiling under MPLAB ® (Windows only):
      • Detection of newer compiler drivers;
      • Easier management of installed compilers when more than one compiler is installed; and
      • Lite mode compilers can invoke 45 day trial of PRO compiler from within MPLAB IDE.

  • FREE Compiler for PIC10/12/16 Now Available

    The latest release (v9.60PL2) of HI-TECH C® PRO for the PIC10/12/16 MCU Family includes Lite mode - a significant feature sure to impress the hobbyists and students.

    Lite mode:

    • Is a Free Download;
    • Supports all PIC10/12/16 devices; and
    • Has no memory or time restrictions.

    However, OCG optimizations are disengaged. As a guide, code reduction in PRO mode is typically better than 50%. A compiler running in Lite mode can restore PRO mode performance by purchasing a license, or activating the 45 day evaluation.
